Barney Amon 1996-2004 Barney was a brindle male rescued at the age of three through the American Bullmastiff Association’s Rescue Program. Barney loved everyone - kids, adults, dogs, cats, and anything else that might look his way. Barney started a legacy of love, second chances, and forever homes that has blessed hundreds of people and dogs. Barney is the perfect example of why we do what we do. Abbott Purvis What can you say about a child that you lost after 13 ½ years? While it was a full life for a Sammy, it wasn’t enough for us. Abbott was a wonderful, gorgeous dog who simply loved humans. We use to joke that he would meet a burglar at the door, say “Welcome, can I hold that flashlight for you, how about a petting while you are at it?” It’s hard to explain the bond that a Sammy can form with you. They are truly part of your family, not just a pet. We miss Abbott terribly and look forward to seeing him someday over the Rainbow Bridge.
